Today was the day of our mock pitches for our documentaries. I decided to create a power point presentation with the help of my other team member to show what our documentary will be all about. With the research that we had ( OFCOM, Copyright, Channel 4 schedule etc) we started to piece the presentation together and as this was a multimedia presentation visuals were essential so i included pictures of the places we intend to go during the filming of our documentary, Pie charts from the research we had done,(Questionnaires) and information on rules and regulations also a visual representation, which was a clip of a vintage fair we are going to.
We both managed to get most of the presentation done, there was obviously some information needed to complete it but as there was two of us we did as much as we could but we did have some information from the other team members from before when we researched different fairs and also contacted places to go. So I made sure that everyone had some research in the presentation that was done by them. Even though we weren’t all there everyone made sure that they e-mailed work to each other which also helped in the long run if we got stuck.
In the final lesson we had our mock pitches and overall I think it went ok , the presentation did lack some information and needed to be added as it was important for example watershed times and music copyrighting. The mock pitches did help a lot as it made me realise how much work is needed in the pre production stages of producing a documentary.
